Bluesman, Tony Holiday, traveled to Omaha to play with his band, The Velvetones, at The Chrome Lounge last Thursday. While Tony was out front and center, wailing on the harmonica and belting out Chicago-drenched rhythm and blues, I spied his knuckle tattoos and dinner plate-sized Fender belt buckle. An image of a portrait materialized in my mind of the buckle framed with his tattoo emblazoned hands. After the show, I approached Tony and complimented him on his style and look. He agreed to pose for a portrait, and I snapped the image below. This story is a reminder to me to pre-visualize, remain creative AND be bold.
